A Canadian tool for Canadian websites.
ScanForge exists because nobody should need five SaaS subscriptions to find out if their website is accessible, discoverable, and working. One tool. One report. Built here, hosted here.
Built from the problems we kept running into.
ScanForge is a ForgeFrameworks product. We spent years helping small Canadian businesses ship websites, and we kept running into the same cycle: launch a site, forget about it, then discover six months later that the accessibility is a lawsuit waiting to happen, the meta tags are empty, the SSL expired on Saturday, and nobody noticed.
The tools that existed either cost hundreds a month, required a PhD to read, or shipped their reports to datacenters outside Canada. So we built the one we wanted: straightforward, in-plain-English, and hosted on the right side of the border.
Four principles we won't compromise on.
Canadian, all the way down
Built in Canada, hosted in Canada, governed by PIPEDA and Law 25. Your scan data never crosses a border.
Plain language
No "4.1.2 Name, Role, Value violations." We tell you what's broken, where to find it, and why it matters.
One plan, everything
No feature-locked upsells. The Starter plan runs the same audits as Business — you pay for scale, not for features.
Your data, your data
We never sell scan data, never train AI on it, and delete it when your retention window expires. That's not a promise — it's a schedule.
Open-source at the core.
ScanForge runs on Laravel (PHP), with MySQL for storage and Redis-backed queues for scan jobs. The accessibility engine is axe-core — the same open-source tool used by Microsoft, Google, and most professional auditors. The SEO scanner is built on Symfony's DOM crawler, and our headless browser is Chromium via Puppeteer.
We use open-source software because it's better, more transparent, and doesn't lock us into anyone's roadmap. It also means the checks we run are the same ones auditors run — no proprietary magic, no handwaving about "AI-powered analysis."
Questions? Feedback? We actually read these.
ScanForge is built by people you can talk to. Not a support portal, not a bot.
